FOUNDATION TYPES
 
        Foundation, as the name suggests, is the first cosmetic to be applied on face while doing makeup to serve as the base for the look that you are going to paint later. The wise selection of the just the right foundation that suits your skin, color and tone is quite necessary as it determines whether you are going to look naturally beautiful having a flawless smooth skin or quite artificial as if you have put on a mask of cosmetic layers. However, most of the foundations can fit into three categories:

1. Liquid Foundations,
        2. Cream Foundations; and

        A thin film of liquid foundation is best for 'natural look' makeup and is most commonly used by women for daily purposes. It is easy to apply and is not easily visible. It comes in oil-based formulas for people with dry to normal skin and water-based formulas for people with oily skin. It is very important to match the foundation to your natural face complexion and the tone of your color. Most of the foundations come in pink-based, orange-based and yellow-based formulas. Cream Foundations:
        Mostly available as sticks and compacts, cream foundations are the first choice of most of the makeup artists as they cover skin quite well and give a flawless smooth look. They are easy to apply too.

Powder Foundations:
        If you don't have much time and need quick solution, dual active powder foundations or cream to powder foundations are the best options for you, which combines the action of foundation and powder in one. These foundations can be applied as cream or powder and give a quick dry fresh-face look. They are especially suited to people with oily skin or areas where humidity is quite high.
 
Cleansing, Toning & Moisturizing Face
 
        One's beauty is incomplete without a fresh and glowing skin. However, not everybody is blessed with a naturally good skin. As skin is one of the most delicate parts of our body, even those who are blessed with a good and charming skin need to take care of it properly. Those who are not blessed with that natural charm and appeal need to work hard on their skin to make it shiny, smooth and beautiful. Different people have different textures of skin like oily, dry and normal. However, some of the people have extremely sensitive skin which needs extra special care. The basic ways to take care of any kind of skin is cleansing, toning and moisturizing.

Why does skin require cleansing, toning & moisturizing?
        Moving around in dust, smoke and traffic makes skin dull, dry and dead. Regular exposure to all these things makes skin faint and pale. Cleansing

Benefits: Cleansing is the most effective way of removing dust, dirt and dead layer from your skin. It is also meant for cleaning the previously applied make up. Cleansing helps in removing the extra element on the skin to make its pore open and breathing. Regular cleaning makes your face fresh and clean.

Process:
 
        
  • Wash your hands with soap properly do remove dust and bacteria.

  • Natural toning is also a nice way to take care of your skin. For normal and dry skin use a combination of fresh cucumber juice with yoghurt as an astringent.
  • You can use the combination of egg white with honey mixed with few drops of lemon juice as a toner for oily skin.
  • Apply toner with cotton all over your face except the eyes and lips. Wipe the toner in upward and outward direction.
 
Moisturizing
 
        Benefits: It helps in restoring the natural moisture to your face and making it more soft, supple and glowing.

Process:
 
        
  • After you are done with your cleansing and toning, you must moisturize your face in order to regain the moisture lost.
  • Clean your hands before you apply moisturizer to your face.
  • Deeply apply the moisturizer on your face in a circular with upward strokes motion.

  • The only thing you can do to get rid of this yellowish tint is to scrape the surface of your nail with the help of the finest-grain side of the block file and use the clear UV-resistant topcoat for protection and shine.
  • The sheer pastel, beige and pink nail polish acquires a yellowish tint after being exposed to sun for two days or more. To avoid this, use a clear nail gloss with inbuilt UV protection topcoat and do not forget to rub sunscreen on nails too after every two hours, just like the rest of your body.
  • Use eyeliner pencil of slate gray, warm chocolate or navy shades with a light hand.
  • Use gel on your hair and use only the fresh razor with triple blades to shave bikini line to avoid any unsightly rashes. You can use 1% hydrocortisone cream to any rash to cure it and hide any redness in the area by using tinted facial moisturizer.
  • Warm blond and naturally medium brown hair with highlights may acquire coppery shades in sun due to oxidation. Thus, always wear a hat or scarf while venturing outdoors. Hair color gloss can help you to achieve the shine again.
  • Warm, sunny, bright blush can be used.
  • Wear only natural nude shades as lip colors while going out to the beach.   • Vegetables: you should have three to five servings of vegetables daily. Include one serving of raw, leafy greens.
  • Do not have more than three-ounce servings a day. Take off all the fat. Try to include two servings of turkey or chicken and a serving of fish a day is ideal.
  • Fruits: Have two to three servings everyday. ½ cup of chopped or sliced fruit is one serving.
  • Dairy: Have at least two servings daily. One serving is eight ounces of milk or yogurt.
